After finding a hard drive they thought had been destroyed, Small Black returned to their origins 13 years later and cracked the idea to turn their landmark self-titled EP into the full-length LP they'd always intended it to be. From those sessions, the chillwave pioneers resurrected "Desert of the Heart", a track that fits right in with the lush synth & lo-fi beat soundscape they pioneered in the late aughts.

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
